Everyday Project

Due: September 16, 2014

For this assignment you will be required to shoot everyday. When making your daily photographs, consider photographing something that you weren’t expecting to see, something you enjoy seeing everyday, the places, people and things around you. Think about how photography can elevate the ordinary or how the camera can be used like a visual diary. Shoot several photographs throughout the day and select your favorite at the end of each day to post to your blog and turn in for critique. You will do this for ten consecutive days. Be thoughtful about your photographs.  Shoot with intention.

Steps:
·       Shoot everyday for ten consecutive days – To complete this assignment on time you must begin by Friday, September 5, 2014
·       At the end of each day, download/import your photographs onto your harddrive into the following folder structure:
o   Everyday
§  (subfolder) Day1
§  (subfolder)  Day 2
§  So on
·       Review your photographs
·       Select the photograph you are most excited about from each day – Even if you are excited about multiple photographs from one day (hopefully this is the case) you still must select only one photograph
·       Upload your photograph to your blog: Title each post as “Everyday: Day One”, “Everyday: Day Two”, and so on
·       Repeat for 10 days
·       At the end of your 10 days, export your 10 photographs no larger than 1920 pixels on the long side through Lightroom

For inspiration, look at artists: William Eggleston, Stephen Shore, Joel Sternfeld, Alec Soth, Byron Wolf, Whitney Hubbs, and Tracey Baran.
For the critique:   1. Bring in all 10 files saved as jpegs and named:
            LASTNAME_01.jpg, LASTNAME_02.jpg, etc
You will turn these files into me and project them in class for critique
       2.  Upload these images to your blog daily

       3.  Screen Shot of your folder structure
